With the advance of technology, printing on glass is making its way into the field of interior design and architectural projects due to its unlimited creative capacity and functionality.
Glass is one of the most versatile, aesthetic, cost-effective and sustainable materials available when designing exterior and interior architectural elements, so the creative possibilities with this new technology are endless.
The technology allows printing a diversity of designs and colors.
Digital printing on glass is an advanced technology that allows printing on glass sheets, images, photos, drawings and inscriptions received through a digital medium. All this without the use of the usual instruments of reproduction and decoration such as silk-screen printing frames or printing rollers.
The result is a photographic effect, with high color and shape definition, which allows working with full color, degrade and incorporate transparencies in the images according to personal preferences. The only requirement is that the glass be raw and monolithic (no layers).
The possibilities of decoration with printing on glass are infinite
The machine works by applying special ceramic inks that then, through a process of tempering the paint, vitrify and acquire the same properties as glass. In this way, the print does not scratch, does not wear out and does not lose color.
The glass can be treated like any perforated, laminated or thermo-hardened glass (to obtain a safety glass). Adhesives and sealants for placing glass are suitable and do not alter the paint.
A fundamental difference between this process and the silk-screen printing system is that digital printing allows glass to be laminated with the internal side printed. This guarantees greater durability. Click here glass photo
