Hello,
My name is Jay Janutol and I fell in love with the construction industry a year after getting honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps, after serving 8 1/2 years. Many students in the Construction Management program at Ferris State University have a difficult time figuring out what position that seem to flourish in, however, Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) seems to be the right path for me. In the spring semester of 2019, I was required to take a "Building Infrastructure" class which taught programs like Sketchup, AutoCad, and Revit. The culminating event is to build a two story building, including the exterior landscape, within a month and half time reading from the plans and specifications. I couldn't have loved it more, and now whenever there is an opportunity to build something, design something, or just show it in a 3-D world, i love to hop onto Revit and rebuild it.
