Hi There,
My name is Aniket, I am a mechanical engineer by profession, but a passionate researcher entrepreneur by heart. My journey in research begun when I became an active member of FIZ Robotics Solution formerly known as FIZ Club (A Mechatronics Club at my College) in the very first semester of my undergrad. The club has enthusiastic young engineering students who were keen to explore the latest robots and various national, Internation level hackathons. I along with my fellow colleagues have participated in various of these competitions like Techkriti (IIT Kanpur), Technex (IIT BHU), Cognizance (IIT Roorkee), and in the prestigious Smart India Hakcathons (Hardware Edition- 2 times), and Texas Instrument led Innovation Design Competition. Apart from the competition, I have developed RC Delta Wing, Ble Bird, Mustang V2 RC Planes, Also have developed all new GEV (Ground Effective Vehicle) that had ability to run, fly and swim in all three terrain. During my bachelor's I also have explored AR and VR and has developed few android apps to ease the kid's imagination via AR Book.
The club has helped me in shaping my skills in ideation, design, and fabrication through reverse engineering. Although, I didn't know about real engineering principals and standard at that time but I continued working and exploring the DIY. These below mentioned projects and competitions has led my to receive "Award of Excellance by Honorable President of India" during the convocation ceremony.
During Techkriti (IIT Kanpur-2018), I had developed and participated in Pick-Place Bot, 6-Channel RC Controlled Mustang (Airplane), Hovercraft competition and have qualified in semi finals.
During Technex (IIT BHU-2017), I had developed and participated in the Water Rocket Competition and won 2nd prize (6000/- Cash), this was my first earning :)
During Cognizance (IIT Roorkee-2018), I had worked on RC Boat and participated in the competition.
During Smart India Hackathon 2018, we applied to develop a tri-wheeler based hand cart to transport small luggages and items in hilly areas which got selected in Rural Innovation under Government of Sikkim during the Finals of SIH 18 that helded at IIT Guwahati. We developed the working prototype but didn't managed to win the competition.
During Smart India Hackathon 2019, we applied to develop a modified Mulipurpose Adjustable Cane to help and assist geriatric population who faces lower limb arthritic problem that prevent them climbing stairs, sitting on shairs comfortably. We got selected in the finals and developed the working prototype at VelTech Channai that solved the mentioned problem during the 5-Day continuous hackathon. After the regorous evaluation, we won the hackathon and a sum of Rs. 75,000. The prototype also got listed under top 30 innovations selected by MHRD for incubation support. But COVID-19 delayed the further process, but we can be seen on Ministry of Innovation Cell, MHRD, Govt of India (Team Name- Megatron, Team Leader: Aniket Kumar)
During Texas Instrument Led Innovation Design Competition 2019, we developed the version 2 of the multipurpose adjustable cane that was integrated with smart sensors to assisted especially abled. We qualified the semi-final round but the competition stucked due to COVID-19.
In June 2019, I got selected as a Research Engineer at Indian Spinal Injuries Centre to work on IC-IMPACTS funded research project "Development of Artificial Muscle for tetraplegic hand" in collaborations with IIT Delhi, I am happy to share that my team has successfully developed the product which is under patient testing phases.
Along with the research, I participated in SAN-Sadhan hackathon 2019 organised by Ministry of Social Welware and Disablity, Govt of India. We developed a semi automated smart toilet prototype during the 3 day hackathon and was qualified to the finals.
During the COVID-19, I also got an opportunity to do research training under CSIR-NIEST (online), and my team was allotted to develop solution to generate electricity from the public door movement. I am excited to share that, we got "A" remarks.
I found my self good at product designing, idea validation, prototyping with 3D prnitng, and computer based mechanical simulation.
The following software that I prefer to use:
1) Autodesk Fusion 360, SoldWroks, Ansys, AutoCAD, 3dsMax, MATLAB, MS-Office.
2) Unity, OpenSpace 3D, CURA for 3D printing
