Transportation: more than just getting from here to there

The Hyperloop that could transport passengers at 200 miles per hour in a vacuum tube. Zero emission vehicles. Driverless cars. Bicycles that fold up and fit in your backpack. Technology and innovation have merged with the transportation industry and the future is looking incredibly exciting! Students like you are already working on new design ideas that’ll change transportation as we know it. Will you be prepared to design and make vehicles of the future a reality?
What about our roads and infrastructure? Is there a better way to design and build bridges and highways to maximize functionality while minimizing environmental impact? Students today are learning skills that will help build a more efficient, better functioning, sustainable society.
Perhaps someone will someday discover how to instantly teleport people from one place to another. Until then, we’ll be relying on you and the next generation to imagine, design, and create the transportation devices, as well as the infrastructure that’ll move us beyond simply just getting from “a” to “b”.
