Autodesk Memento: the future of storytelling
Autodesk Memento is tranforming the way we capture and share the world around us. This powerful and easy to use software converts photos and laser scans into 3D meshes that can be cleaned up, transformed, and 3D printed so that anyone can explore captured objects from across the world. In her TEDx talk, Tatjana Dzambazova explains how Memento was used to create a 3D model of the Buddhas of Bamiyan, which were destroyed in 2001. This 3D model has allowed the world to preserve a valuable piece of its cultural heritage, and will enable future generations to explore the Buddhas of Bamiyan digitally.
What piece of history do you want to capture? How can reality capture help you tell your story?
