3D printing in space

You can't forget anything when packing for space.  Astronauts have to account for every piece of equipment they'll need for long stays in the International Space Station, and if they don't have something, things can go wrong.  With 3D printing, however, astronauts can fabricate ultra-lightweight supplies as they’re needed with the Made in Space 3D printer.  This printer works in 0 gravity and allows astronauts to use CAD software to easily design and print the tools they need in space.
