Advanced CAD for Mechanical Engineers will walk engineering students through the final steps required to detail a design for production.  We'll explore how to use Fusion 360 to add detail for manufacture, create exploded view animations and detail drawings.  We'll also learn some additional CNC toolpath functionality on various parts such as lathe and CNC milling.  Last, we will have the opportunity to discuss and explore options for their designs while creating final details for various mechanical systems. 

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the parametric CAD workflow
  • Perform basic simulation studies to identify load paths
  • Fully detail various models for production techniques such as 3D printing and Machining
  • Identify design options to solve various design challenges
