Think like a designer: Design an environmentally friendly bicycle
Riding a bicycle is great for the environment—they don’t require any gasoline to operate and they don’t emit fossil fuels. But have you ever thought about what bicycles are made of? Sometimes materials used in manufacturing bicycles can cause a lot of harm to the environment. By making smart choices about eco-friendly materials, you can design a bicycle with a smaller carbon footprint (or tire track)!
Get creative with design in class
In this project you’ll model the handlebars of a bicycle in Autodesk Inventor. Using the creative process of design thinking, you’ll research various types of building materials and sustainable practices that you can use to craft a unique green riding machine.
